Silver risks 5.60% dip below 57.96 as Fed uncertainty lifts dollar

A stronger US dollar pushed silver more than 2% lower on Wednesday as traders reduced exposure ahead of the Federal Reserve's September meeting minutes. Softer employment data have reduced expectations for an October rate increase, but the possibility of further tightening in December continues to weigh on the non-yielding precious metal.
Silver remains bearish below 62.08. A breakdown below 57.96 could trigger a 5.60% decline towards 54.74.
